Job Nobbing - its like fluffing for Start-UP Jobs

I saw this article in the Mercury News and thought it would be an interesting concept that might work here in NZ.  JobNob.com is basically a service that places employees into Start-UPs with one small difference, the employer pitches a room full of employees.  After a bit of digging I managed to find a video of one such employer pitch held at a recent JobNob Happy hour session.

I frequently get emails from both local and international start-ups and dev companies looking for quality developers, so an idea like this makes alot of sense to me, as it helps both the potential employer and employee get a better fix on each other.  Kinda like fluffing for Start-UPS.  Anyway take a look at the likely fellow in the video and let me know what you think, and if it woiuld be worthwhile hosting something similar locally.
