No iPhone on new XT Network at launch, but range still looks pretty good

As expected by many media commentators there will be no iPhone at the time of launch of the new XT Network.  Alan Gourdie says that negotiations with Apple are still underway but has no information on when those negotiations might conclude.  While the range of handsets avaiable at launch is certainly impressive and a major step up from Telecoms previous offerings there can be no denying that the ommission of the iPhone from the launch line up leaves a glaring gap.  On the upside (possibly) was the announcement of a Bebo phone.  Details on this handset are pretty lite but we'll see if we cam line up a "test drive" in the near future.

  • You can still buy an iPhone from somewhere else and use it on the XT network. I'm going to do exactly that :)
